Leading with integrity
and purpose
Harrods, the world-renowned luxury department store, continues to build on its commitment to driving positive change and shaping a more sustainable future, with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) firmly embedded as a business-wide priority.
This second ESG report reflects the meaningful progress made in 2024, underlining Harrods’ belief that true luxury must be both timeless and responsible. Key achievements include the relaunch of the Harrods Collection with a focus on circularity, traceability, and responsible sourcing; the installation of solar panels at the Thames Valley Distribution Centre; and the introduction of closed-loop recycling schemes to reduce waste. The report also highlights the launch of new Belonging Networks, inclusive colleague training, and strengthened charity partnerships.
Structured around Harrods’ five sustainability pillars, the report places greater emphasis on governance and accountability, including the expansion of the supplier code of conduct from five to eleven requirements to reflect industry best practice. Designed to maintain the luxury aesthetic synonymous with Harrods, the publication communicates both the brand’s heritage and its evolving ambition to lead with integrity and purpose.
